DAMA is a contemporary fashion label rooted in refined simplicity, quiet confidence, and conscious creation.
Based in Bolzano, Italy, each piece is designed with a timeless, minimal aesthetic — garments that transcend trends and evolve with the person who wears them. We believe that fashion should be slow, deliberate, and enduring. This philosophy guides every step of our process.
At the heart of DAMA is a commitment to sustainability and local craftsmanship. We work primarily with high-quality deadstock fabrics — rediscovered materials from past productions — giving new purpose to what already exists and reducing unnecessary waste. All garments are produced in small runs, either in our own atelier in Bolzano or, in the case of our shirts, by a traditional camiceria in Florence. Our entire production is local and led by women — DAMA is made from women, for women.
DAMA is not just a label, but a way of dressing and living — intentional, enduring, and quietly bold. We believe in building a wardrobe with purpose: fewer, better pieces that feel as good as they look, season after season.
The label was founded in 2022 by designer Dagmar Gruber, a Bolzano native whose path through cities like Munich, Beijing, Guangzhou, and London has shaped a thoughtful and globally influenced design approach. Her hands-on experience at labels such as Femme Maison in Vienna, Nehera in Bratislava, Ralph & Russo in London, and Proenza Schouler in New York deepened her commitment to craftsmanship and conscious creation. DAMA is the natural expression of her vision — clothing that balances elegance and ease, made with intention and quiet confidence.
